First Aid NAUI Powered by DAN Classes

Since a few years ago NAUI decided to concentrate more on scuba diving, rather than developing standardization and developing learning about Basic Life Support and First Aid. Therefore, NAUI has established a strategic partnership with Dive Alert Network (DAN) for learning systems and certification of all matters related to Basic Life Support and First Aid. NAUI’s Basic Life Support and First (BLS and FA) materials currently use material from DAN.

NAUI Establishes a strategic partnership with DAN, because trusting DAN is an institution that is consistent and sustainable and prioritizes the development of Safety in Scuba Diving. DAN also continues to develop good standards in teaching systems related to BLS and FA. Profile details about DAN can browse to www.dan.org or www.danap.org.

Courses related to BLS and FA NAUI Powered by DAN can be taken not only by divers — both for new divers and professional divers — but also for the general public. The general public who has BLS and FA certificates will have standard capabilities that are qualified in the field of giving Emergency Life Support and  First Aid, including providing CPR. A certified BLS and FA means that he has also made himself a certified First-Responder, as someone who has the ability to provide assistance in life-threatening events. The position of a First-Responder is very important in the chain of survival for a person who is endangered. Please learn more about Chain Of Survival in these NAUI power by DAN courses.

In the Scuba Diving industry this BLS and FA certificate recreation is also needed for Dive Center and Crew Boat Diving crews, because they will also often face life-threatening emergency conditions. By studying and having this certification, dive center employees will be able to prevent life-threatening conditions and avoid accidents. As a scuba diver, at least a Rescue Diver requires BLS and FA certificates to be able to take the course.

The ability of BLS and FA is also very much needed and required for the Scuba Diver Guide. Especially for the Scuba Diver Guides, this capability must be in addition to having a certificate, it must also be continuously honed and trained so that they are alert in dealing with emergency conditions that are very likely to arise.
